Por of Arendal is headed by the Port’s Board, which ensures that the operations are conducted in accordance with the purpose of Port of Arendal, the Ports and navigable waterways act, statutes, budget, and other decisions or guidelines established by the City Council.
The Port Board consists of 7 representatives and a representative from the employees.
The Port Board is elected for 4 years and the election follows the municipal election period.
The City Council elects members and deputies to the Port Board.
